Murphy & Harry's Story...
"Murphy" (long hair) and "Harry" (plush short hair) are as a sweet-as-can-be 3 l/2 month old male kittens...presumed to be brothers. They were found outside and brought to a local kill shelter as strays. They are exceptionally affectionate, playful and engaging! Murphy is a kitten with personality to spare. He’s a lover and a fighter - sparkle ball toys are his favorite opponent. Murphy is a natural lap kitten with long luxurious black and chocolate fur that tends to be adorably spikey and mussed. Harry looks like the sweetest little black bear ever and feels like velvet. He also has the loudest purr in all of kitten kind - you can hear it clear across the room! When he opens his eyes wide and stares into yours, your heart will melt. They are seeking a home where they can remain together. Meet them in their Alexandria foster home. Posted 12/7/16

** Did you know that black cats are half as likely to be adopted as other colors and are considered to be the underdog of the cat world? Give this girl a chance and she'll prove what a loving companion they can be! **

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Murphy & Harry, a Arlington Domestic Longhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Arlington, or seeking a Domestic Longhair kitten from a breeder in Arlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
