Facts about Cutty-Super Sweet

  • Breed: Maine Coon
  • Color: Brown Tabby
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Long
Cutty is a brown tabby and white male Maine Coon mix, approx. 2 years old. He arrived at a local kill shelter as a stray. Can you say handsome?! This boy loves attention so much he almost forces you to pet him! He is a treasure. While Cutty may not be able to produce his "pedigree papers", he has the "look" and many of the qualities of the much loved Maine Coon breed although smaller in size. Maine Coons develop slowly, and don't achieve their full size until they are three to five years old so we believe he still has some growing to do. You'll see his potential when you take one look at his very large paws! He is a lean, gentle & good-natured boy who is very people-oriented. Cutty does not constantly pester you for attention, but prefers to "hang out" with his person & likes to be near . Maine Coons are relaxed and easy-going in just about everything they do and Cutty is no exception. He stands up to push his head into your palm to get more petting and will flip on his side to get his tummy rubbed. Cutty likes being brushed & doesn't mind being picked up and held and will often crawl up on a lap or snuggle close in bed. He also enjoys the company of other cats and is OK with dogs too. He's eager to find his forever home where he'll receive lots of TLC. All medical work included. Posted 11/13/16

About Home Alone Feline Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small, private feline-only rescue group dedicated to the rescue, care and placement of homeless cats and kittens. We do not have a shelter and rely on a group of dedicated foster homes to care for our felines until a "fur-ever" home can be found. We actively promote the importance of spaying and neutering and best practices in companion animal care. The majority of our cats/kittens come from high-kill shelters. We do not receive any government funding and rely on private contributions, 100% of which go to provide medical care, food and supplies.

You can support our rescue by shopping your favorite online stores through AdoptAShelter.com. It's FREE and easy to use. Simply click on the link below which will connect you directly to our shelter's shopping page. Then shop like you always do at your favorite stores, including Amazon, Ebay, Petsmart & Home Depot. Whatever you buy, a portion of EVERY purchase will come to us in a cash donation.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All of our cats are in private foster homes; therefore, we require an application be completed before setting up appointments to meet them; an application can be e-mailed, faxed or mailed upon request. Adopters must be within a reasonable driving distance to No. VA ( 60 minutes); we do not ship/transport our animals. We participate in public adoption event held in various locations in the Wash.DC/No. VA areal most Sundays in conjunction with other rescuers. Please e-mail us for specifics.

Our Adoption Process...

We strive to make the "purr-fect" match through our interview and application process. Adoption fees, which range from $100-$135, include all medical work (FELV/FIV testing, shots; spay/neuter, etc); home visits are required prior to final placement. The majority of our kittens are only available for adoption in pairs or as a companion to another young cat/kitten already in the home. Sorry, but we do not adopt very young kittens to families with children under 6 yrs old due to safety concerns for both child and kitten. Adopters also receive a certificate for a free comprehensive wellness exam at any Caring Hands Animal Hospital.
