Health: Kaylee has been spayed and microchipped. She is current on her DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies. She has been wormed and flea treated, and tested negative for heartworm.

History: Kaylee comes from an overcrowded shelter in California. PUP was asked to help and we are so glad we did. All dogs PUP pulls from California come with health certificates, as required by Washington state.

Notes from Kaylee's Foster Home:

This cutie-pie is a lot like Pooh's friend Tigger---happy, bouncy and fun, fun, fun!! Kaylee is young and likes to play with soft toys, dogs, and people but she's savvy enough to not bother the older dogs and to balance out her joyful play with quiet time when she happily curls up to sleep or chews contentedly on a bone.  Kaylee knows how to rest quietly in her crate periodically through the day and sleep quietly in her crate through the night.  She is working on leash manners and house training and progressing nicely but needs someone willing to provide consistency to help her completely master these skills.  She is outgoing and affectionate; she loves all the (dog respectful) children she meets and is also happy to meet and greet new people and dogs---she has such a confident and friendly way of interacting with the world around her!  She's not yappy and rarely barks, even when our other dogs start barking at some phantom threat.  We just love to snuggle with this velvety, lovely little girl and know that she can't wait to share her love and joy with the right---lucky!!---forever family.

Note: The above description reflects the behavior we have observed in the dog's foster home. Although PUP provides adopters up to the minute information on our dogs, we cannot guarantee they will behave in the same manner in a different environment with new owners.

Adoption: If you think you have room in your home and heart for this dog and you reside within Washington State, please go to our Adoption Information page. There you will find more information and be able to fill out an adoption application.

About People United for Pets (PUP)

About Our Rescue Group...

People United for Pets (PUP) is a 501(c)(3) registered non-profit organization specializing in small and toy breed dog rescue. We are located in Western Washington State.

Our passion is to bring people and pets together. Countless dogs are without homes and in need of assistance. These are dogs who would make wonderful and faithful companions if only they could connect with the right person or family. We have made it our mission to help them do this. At the same time we hope to enrich the lives of those who adopt them.

We strive to match our dog's needs and personality to the preferences and requirements of each potential adopter. We believe this is a crucial component of the process and will help ensure a life-long relationship.

Our primary focus is on small purebred or mixed breed dogs, although we do occasionally take in larger dogs. We work collaboratively with shelters, other rescue groups, and individuals, both locally and nationally.

PUP was established in May, 2006 and since that time has placed an ever increasing number of dogs into their forever homes!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We have no central facility. Our dogs are placed in foster homes around the greater Seattle area where they receive socialization and training while they await adoption.
