We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from CCHS, you have to complete an online application at http://www.collincountyhumanesociety.org/adoption-application.html and we will contact you asap about the status of your application.
Juliette was adopted as a puppy from LHS but her family is moving out of the country and is not able to take her in. She is great with other dogs of all shapes and sizes. We have not seen her around small children or kitties to know how she would do but we can cat test if needed. She can be a little shy at time so she would likely do best in a home with older kids/teens or no children.
She can be trusted to have free roam of the house. She is housebroken and knows basic commands.
Juliette survived distemper, and while she is not mentally challenged, she does have occasional seiziures. These seizures are isolated to only her head (it shakes back and forth) and last anywhere from 20 seconds to 20 minutes. She is fully responsive the entire time, walking around, eating, drinking, etc. The vet has said there is nothing to be done for her since she is completely responsive and the episodes are not far and few between. No medication is needed.
To adopt Juliette please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/
