BG's Story...
Say hello to BG! At 7 yrs young, BG is the very definition of "spunky senior" This guy still has great energy and is definitely up for adventure time! BG was surrendered to the shelter when his former family moved. They said that he did well with the kids in the home and BG was very tolerant and well behaved when we were dressing him up for his photo shoot. BG is happy to show off "sit" for a treat...well, most of the time lol. He's got a sassy little independent streak in him too! ;-)

With his human friends, BG is sweet and friendly right off the bat. No shyness here! A dog intro is required with BG; if you have a dog at home, bring them in and we can help you make sure everyone gets along prior to adopting.

You can meet 7 yrs young BG in D building at our West Valley Animal Care Center in Phx (2500 S. 27th Ave.). Hours are 11-6 Mon-Fri and 11-5 Sat & Sun. BG's $20 adoption fee includes neuter, rabies certificate and County license.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BG, a Phoenix Shar Pei/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei/Labrador Retriever for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Shar Pei/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Shar Pei/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
