Gigi's Story...
This little beauty is Gigi, a 10 week old short-haired kitten ready to pounce into her new home! This precious baby was brought into the shelter with her siblings when they were way too small to be placed up for adoption. The litter was fortunate enough to find a foster home that they stayed at until they were big enough to go to homes of their own. Gigi has always been the explorer of the group, she loved to be the first kitten to bat at new toys, or climb to the top of the bookshelf. She was more independent than the other kittens at times, but she still loves to wrestle and play with her siblings. She was great with the foster family's large dog and adult cat, and loved being out and following the humans around the house. She has a loud purr, and is very cuddly when she is ready for a nap. She is current on her vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, and will stay to be spayed once adopted! Come and meet her today at our Waggin' Tails Adoption Center in Benbrook. We are open daily from 12-6pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gigi, a Benbrook Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Benbrook, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Benbrook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Benbrook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Benbrook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Benbrook paves the way for another one to be saved.
