My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is a courtesy listing only for TANK C. This Doxie mix is NOT at Oregon Dachshund Rescue, Inc. For information, please contact his current caretaker,Stephanie at (541) 279-0857 or asafrances@gmail.com.

DOGGIE BIO:
Tank is a 6 year old, 45 lb neutered male doxie/pit bull mix who due to no fault of his own is looking for a new home. He LOVES kids. He does not mind other animals at all, but is timid around them. He is afraid of a lot of things, but never aggressive. He has never bit anyone, or any other animal. He does not bark. He does not like walks. Tank is prone to seizures and takes Phenobarb twice daily. He loves to sleep and snuggle! He likes rolling around the carpet or grass, does not play much. But loves company.

Tank has 3 short legs and one long leg. Because of this, when he stands, we call it his 'Sassy'. He looks like he's modeling for you. When you come home from work, he hops for joy and tries his hardest to jump to you...SOMETIMES he makes it! And then he is super excited! He loves to sleep on the couch with a pillow (or two) and a nice cozy blanket.

Unfortunately, ODR, Inc. is over-full and cannot take him in. If you or anyone you know can help, please share this email or contact their current caretaker, Stephanie at (541) 279-0857 or asafrances@gmail.com. Thank you!

Please note, this is a Courtesy Listing for a doxie that is NOT at Oregon Dachshund Rescue, Inc. We are helping the owner find his/her new forever family. Oregon Dachshund Rescue, Inc. has posted this dog as available for adoption or rescue intake as a courtesy accommodation to the dog's owner. Any and all information, photos, etc. have been provided by the dog's owner. Oregon Dachshund Rescue, Inc. is not responsible for the accuracy of any of the information contained in this listing or any information that may have been omitted. Thank you!

ODR, INC. ADOPTION CRITERIA (aka Our Fine Print):
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria for dogs that we adopt and that we recommend to owners whose doxies we list courtesy posts for, the sole aim of which is to facilitate a successful adoption with a forever family.

*Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time?
*Have a securely fenced yard?
*We do not place same gender dogs in a home unless they were raised together, and *Children need to be 12 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie).
*We prefer non smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc). *Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog.

Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these or similar issues.

Thank you!
