Minniehaha: 2 yr old black & tan female, spayed, undocked tail and uncropped ears. Fully vetted. Rescued from shelter.
Minniehaha is an all natural little girl, she has a little something else in her, probably Chihuahua. Adopted from a shelter in January 2016, dropped at a different shelter October 2016, stating she growled at the 2 yr old grandchild. Frankly she has not shown any aggression towards humans big or small while in my care. She is pretty well housebroke, but her problem is she wants to be with humans 24/7, separation anxiety and throws a hissy fit when her humans are out of her sight, she barks, whines, and occasionally a nice howl. We would so like to adopt her to someone that is home all the time. She does not like her crate, but if only for a short while and a nice Kong or bone, she would be fine for a short period. She loves riding in the car, visiting different places, and seeing new sights. She has started playing with toys, and the other dogs, and gets along very well with everyone, except one female that plays a little rough. Minniehaha gets a little upset, and lets the other female that is not appropriate. She is quite the snuggle bunny, and loves to sit on laps, getting petted & tummy rubs. She walks well on her leash, and after the initial excitement settles down and walks on a nice loose leash. If interested in Minniehaha please fill out an adoption application & email her foster Mom.
Note: Minniehaha is located in Columbus, OH - and we will not fly this girl.

About IMPS-Internet Miniature Pinscher Service, Inc. - OH region

About Our Rescue Group...

Internet Miniature Pinscher Service, Inc. (IMPS) was formed in July of 1998 with the adoption of Lister through the Miniature Pinscher e-mail group at For information on the Miniature Pinscher e-mail list, please visit . The IMPS mission is to improve the lives of homeless and abandoned Miniature Pinschers through rescue and the love and respect that comes with humane care, compassion and kindness. IMPS attempts to assist Miniature Pinschers in need by providing foster care, transport, adoptive homes, veterinary care, and other services and information for the well-being of Miniature Pinschers. All Miniature Pinschers placed through IMPS will be spayed or neutered prior to placement, and have been thoroughly evaluated by a breed representative for temperament and training needs.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All of our rescued min pins are now living in loving foster homes throughout the country and Canada. To start the process please fill out an IMPS Potential Home Application. . The success of IMPS is only possible with the volunteers who have agreed to help with the rescue and placement of miniature pinschers. Assistance from our team of volunteers includes fostering, assistance with owner give-ups & home checks, local shelter checks, and transport & placement of min pins to approved homes. IMPS is in need of volunteers in all of the above described areas. To volunteer, please fill out the IMPS Potential Home Application.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters must pass a veterinary reference check and home visit. IMPS requires reimbursement of all necessary veterinary costs (eg. the cost of the spay/neuter, microchipping, and any veterinary care required prior to placement), and in some instances, travel costs. A donation to the organization is requested with each adoption so that we may continue to care for chronically ill and/or severely injured foster dogs. In all cases, any expenses related to the adoption will be agreed upon prior to placement. While the Adoption expenses may be negotiable for some dogs, please remember that the care and upkeep of a dog, even the "King of Toys", requires some financial outlay, and if a small placement expense is beyond your means, you may wish to consider a pet which does not require as much care as the Miniature Pinscher.
