Volunteers who have been volunteering at TBL since 2012 had a serious case of deja vu when Walt showed back up at our door late October 2016. His former adopter developed dementia and could no longer care for him, so poor Walt was returned to us after 4 years in a home through no fault of his own. Lucky for him, he is still dapper as ever and we are determined to find him a forever home this time around! This little man has charm to spare. Walt is the walking definition of a perfect companion dog; he is loving, affectionate, patient, and smart. Walt loves to sit in a human's lap and take in the world, looking up every now and again for a pat or a kiss. Many small breeds been bred over centuries to be a lap dog, and Walt takes this genetic mandate very seriously. Another great feature Walt possesses is his handsome coat. Walt has hair rather than fur, which means that he sheds only minimally and does not aggravate people allergies like a typical pet might. His coat takes some consistent grooming, but Walt doesn't mind. He is also very social with other dogs, and currently spends much of his time with a handful of other dogs his size. Walt is about 15 pounds, and at 5 years old, he is ready to settle down!
