Meko's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Meko's Story...
Meko is an 8 year old, 11 lb owner surrender due to his family of 8 years "being too busy" He is a sweet boy who longs of his human companion and was sadly deprived of that being left out in the yard by himself. He was finally surrendered after he was found regularly digging out of the yard to find affection he so desperately craved. We were more than happy to step in and find him a brand new home because he deserves better!

Meko has been neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and on heartworm and flea preventative, just now ready to find his new furever home! To be considered for adoption, please complete our online adoption application at www.savetheyorkies.org/adopt

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Meko, a Dallas Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Silky Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Silky Terrier for sale in Dallas, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Silky Terrier dog from a breeder in Dallas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dallas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dallas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Silky Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Silky Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dallas paves the way for another one to be saved.
