Shiro's Story...
Shiro is a two year old cream male Shiba Inu, whose family surrendered him to a shelter in Georgia due to his severe allergies. He had dry brittle fur and bald spots on his rear. Despite this, he is a very sweet dog and loves to play with other dogs and toys. He loves to cuddle with other dogs and with people! He was in rescue for a while as DCSIR worked on restoring his gut and immune system; now that his fur has grown back he will be ready for a forever home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shiro, a Manassas Shiba Inu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shiba Inu for sale in Manassas, or seeking a Shiba Inu dog from a breeder in Manassas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manassas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manassas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shiba Inu breeders who help with Shiba Inu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manassas paves the way for another one to be saved.
