SANDY NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Sandy    Breed: Shepherd Mix

Approximate Age: 10 months (Oct 2016)    SEX: Female

Approximate Weight: 32 lbs

Has Lived With: Other dogs and kids

Currently Living at:  Shelter--needs a foster, or better yet, a forever home!

Meet Sandy! This sweet brindle girl is a 10 month old shepherd mix, weighing in at approximately 32 pounds. Sandy found herself at the shelter through no fault of her own and is looking for a forever family to give her the love and attention he deserves! Could it be yours?

Sandy is a lively and playful dog, so she’ll require an active family that will provide her with plenty of exercise and playtime! She will need both mental and physical stimulation on a daily basis to keep her happy and healthy.  She would love to go on long walks and hikes, and take trips to the dog park so she can socialize with her canine friends. And of course, upon returning home, she’d love to shower her new forever family with plenty of cuddles and kisses!

Although Sandy gets along well with other dogs and kids, we haven't had a chance to see her interact with cats yet. If you have them, let us know, and we'll do our best to find out!  Sandy is also looking forward to attending obedience school to hone in her doggie manners and impress her new family.

Like most shelter dogs, Sandy may need a refresher on house-training. He is likely crate trained.  Sandy hopes you will want to take her home with you!

The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Lowell N at lowelln@luckydoganimalrescue.org!

About Lucky Dog Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is a group of highly motivated and highly dedicated volunteers. We spend countless hours making sure that wonderful dogs find loving forever homes. We don't do it for money -- we do it for the joy a dog can bring to its new family; we do it for our love of animals; and we do it to save lives!

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!
