Although his name is Mouse, this guy would be better suited to the name of Mighty Mouse. This 6-year-old miniature pinscher mix was found running at large in our local area and brought to the shelter by the police. Even though he is small, this little guy is all muscle. Mouse has quite the personality and refuses to be intimidated by the bigger dogs he sees in and around Animal Protectors. He loves going on his daily walks and even dances for treats! If this little ball of personality fits what you are looking for in a new companion, why not look at Mouse!

About Our Shelter...

We are a non-profit, no-kill shelter. We house approximately 22 dogs and 30-40 cats. Our shelter is primarily a haven for stray animals from our area, where we care for them until they are adopted. We have a very small staff of part time employees, a board of directors of 12, and a solid group of volunteers. We are run solely on donations from the public.

We are located at 533 Linden Avenue in New Kensington, PA. We are open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 1-4. Open Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-8.

Our Adoption Process...

$120 for dog adoption over 6 months in age. Dogs under 6 months $130. $80 for cat adoption over 6 months in age. Kittens under 6 months $100.

Application must be approved before adoption takes place. Our shelter does landlord checks and vet checks. Property checks are done on all dogs.
