BIG DOG needs a home ASAP. Big Dog is a senior, guesstimated at 7 years old, Black and White neutered male Border Collie who is house broke, groomed and vet checked healthy. Up to date on all shots and Heartworm neg. on preventative. He wants a retirement home with peace and quite. No small children or small yappies. He is a senior gentleman who just wants the right kind of home. If you think that might be you. Then email ISBCR at Animaltalker1@juno.com for an application and a scheduled meet and greet.
Indian Summers Border Collie Rescue and Shelter is a program of OAIC, Inc. a 501(c)3 Non Profit Incorporated Organization in the State of Ohio since 1982. Our mission is to "Save One Precious Life At A Time" We are an all volunteer NO KILL Mandatory Spay/Neuter Rescue/Shelter for Border Collies. We are always in need of donations of money for medical expenses and items such as Med/Lg dog crates, dog food, bath towels, shampoo, brushes, stainless steel dog bowls, collars and leashes, all of which are tax deductible and we are always looking for great volunteers. You can also help by Sponsoring one of our Shelter Dogs or Sponsoring a Spay/Neuter which benefits everyone. Please email or call if you can Help Us Help Them. Won't you Extend a Hand to Help a Paw.
Come Meet Our Pets...
Choosing a new Family Member takes time and we do not rush our adoption process. Our aim is to make the perfect match for a lifetime of percious memories. Scheduled Adoption Days and Meet and Greets are by appointment either week days or weekends here at Indian Summers Rescue. Please call or email to schedule your appointment to meet one of the Summers BC Gang...they are a Great Group of Rescues each looking for an equally great forever home. While here you can also meet the Summers BC Shelter Gang many of whom are living with cancer. When you say that word to a dog they just smile up at you and wag their tail. We don't tell them they are sick and they live each heartbeat to the fullest.
Our Adoption Process...
Our Adoption Fees vary according to a percentage of the medical expenses paid for that individual. Pre-Adoption applications via email are needed before scheduling your meet and greet. We request a reference letter from your Veternarian on business letterhead displaying address and phone number. All adopted animals are Spayed/Neutered and UTD on shots and treatments. Being a Border Collie Breed Rescue we do require some knowlege of the breed temperament, characteristics and needs. If you are new to the breed we do suggest that you research to make sure that this breed is right for you. For those others that have been blessed with sharing their life with a Border Collie, you already know the uniqueness of this breed.
