LOUIE's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

LOUIE's Story...
Adopter or foster need for Louie the 2.5yr old Cane Corso. He is up to date on vaccines and neutered. He would prefer a home with no small dogs or cats, he is ok with some large dogs but needs to learn to greet them properly because he brings a LOT of curious energy. He has lived with a Golden Retriever who he adored.

Due to his size he is good with kids over 10. He is well socialized but could use improvement on leash manners. He loves to sit on your feet at home and lay on the sofa to watch tv with you.

Louie suffers from seizures but they are managed with medication. Due to his huge size (175lbs) the meds are very expensive. Applicants should be aware is meds cost approx $150-200 each month.

Ideally Louie should weigh 140-150lbs, so he should be put on a weight loss routine. Large breed experience is required

Why Adoption is a Great Option

LOUIE, a Sterling Cane Corso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cane Corso for sale in Sterling, or seeking a Cane Corso dog from a breeder in Sterling.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sterling already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sterling breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cane Corso breeders who help with Cane Corso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sterling paves the way for another one to be saved.
