Shelly's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Shelly's Story...
Shelly's guardian had to go into a nursing home so Shelly set about looking for a new place and family. She is about 4 years old and was very chubby, however, she looks much better and only has a couple of pounds to go before she is at her ideal weight. Being under careful supervision and good food has made a lot of difference in her energy level, health and ability to get around. Shelly never wants to be called "Dumpy" again.

Shelly has a great personality and has been very adaptable to her foster's living situation with 5 dogs and a cat. She loves to go for walks and has developed a taste for playing with the other dogs. Shelly loves to cuddle! and she loves people! Shelly also loves to be outside and likes to ride in the car. She will make someone a wonderful little companion! She will require a fenced yard to keep her safe and a family that will help her stay healthy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shelly, a Brasstown Rat Terrier/Manchester Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier/Manchester Terrier for sale in Brasstown, or seeking a Rat Terrier/Manchester Terrier dog from a breeder in Brasstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brasstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brasstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier/Manchester Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier/Manchester Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brasstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
