Reed is an absolute dream. Very loving and affectionate. He likes to "suckle" on his toys. While he plays with toys some, he does not like when they are squeaked. He has learned to "fetch", "bring" and "give" (still needs work on the give part sometimes) the small tennis balls. He loves playing with them. He walks well with a harness on. He will want to take off at first (from excitement) but walks very well when coached. He LOVES to ride in the car. He thinks he should drive......of course. He is super smart and loves to be brushed. His pictures make him look like a bigger dog than he is. he is mostly hair. Does require regular brushing but happily complies. He will allow you to trim his nails, grudgingly at times, but does well. He loves his bath only because of the towel dry afterwards. He is not a fan of being blown dry. Reed is a real heart breaker and he enjoys mostly just being where you are. I think he would do well with any other animals. Very fearful of storms and has to take medication for them (cost is approx $8 and lasts for a couple months as he doesn't take them often) plus Phenobarbital for seizures (Cost is only $11 a month at Walmart) . He has not had any seizures since starting his meds. I love this little man and he will be hard to let go but would be a perfect companion for someone with a moderate level of activity. He just wants to be with you. I have never crated Reed so I do not know how he does with a crate. He has never bothered my cats. Just a very happy, loving little man.
