Reed is an absolute dream. Very loving and affectionate. He likes to "suckle" on his toys. While he plays with toys some, he does not like when they are squeaked. He has learned to "fetch", "bring" and "give" (still needs work on the give part sometimes) the small tennis balls. He loves playing with them. He walks well with a harness on. He will want to take off at first (from excitement) but walks very well when coached. He LOVES to ride in the car. He thinks he should drive......of course. He is super smart and loves to be brushed. His pictures make him look like a bigger dog than he is. he is mostly hair. Does require regular brushing but happily complies. He will allow you to trim his nails, grudgingly at times, but does well. He loves his bath only because of the towel dry afterwards. He is not a fan of being blown dry. Reed is a real heart breaker and he enjoys mostly just being where you are. I think he would do well with any other animals. Very fearful of storms and has to take medication for them plus Phenobarbital for seizures. He has not had any since starting his meds. I love this little man and he will be hard to let go but would be a perfect companion for someone with a moderate level of activity. He just wants to be with you. I have never crated Reed so I do not know how he does with a crate. He has never bothered my cats. Just a very happy, loving little man.

About Central Ohio Pomeranian Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

COPR is all volunteer based. Our rescued dogs are cared for in foster homes throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Illinois. Our foster homes are dedicated and loving individuals that work on assessing each dog to better understand the kind of family the dog is best suited for. Upon intake, each of our dogs are given appropriate vaccines, spayed/neutered, heartworm tested, microchipped and kept on monthly heartworm and flea preventative. Our volunteers work to socialize our dogs and prepare them for their forever home.

Our Adoption Process...

Thank you for your interest in adopting from Central Ohio Pomeranian Rescue. Please understand that it is not our intention to make the adoption process cumbersome; it is only to ensure the animals in our care get the best possible match to last a lifetime.

Bonded pairs will not be separated for any reason, and the adoption fee will be reduced to $420 for the pair.

All current pets that reside in the residence must be spayed/neutered and kept up to date on regular vetting . Application processing can take up to a week or longer and is completed with a home visit. COPR reserves the right to deny any applicant.
