Michael's Story...
Meet Michael. This 4-month-old hound/beagle puppy was found with the 20 or so other puppies after the flood. He is growing up in a kennel at Zeus’ Place when he really wants to be playing with your kids or other dogs. Michael is affectionate and would do great with a human who likes to play fetch or go for long walks on the levee. Michael currently weighs 17 pounds, is up to date on shots, microchipped and is having his man parts removed today! Please give this wonderful pup a home, even though he has passed the adorable tiny puppy stage. If interested, fill out the online app at www.zeusrescues.org. — at Zeus' Place.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Michael, a New Orleans Hound (Unknown Type)/Beagle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Beagle for sale in New Orleans, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Beagle puppy from a breeder in New Orleans.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Orleans already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Orleans breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Beagle breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Orleans paves the way for another one to be saved.
