Collette's Story...
Meet Carol and Collette. Carol and Collette were found running around together after the flood. They are old. Carol is mostly blind and uses Collette as a guide dog. We have no idea how they stayed together, or safe, during that time, but they did. Both are very playful and need to be adopted together. They have been in foster care for the last 6 weeks and are doing great, but we would love to see them in a forever home. Carol and Collette will fall under our 2 for 1 special since they are a bonded pair. If interested, fill out the online app at — at Zeus' Place.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Collette, a New Orleans Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in New Orleans, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in New Orleans.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Orleans already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Orleans breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Orleans paves the way for another one to be saved.
