Facts about Jackson

  • Breed: Pomeranian/Papillon Mix
  • Color: Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
Jackson is an incredibly cute ball of cottony fur that climbs into your heart (and lap) with a wiggle. Once he gets a sudsy bath and grooming...Jackson will absolutely be one of the most beautiful guys around. At 6 to7 years old and 12 lbs, Jackson is every bit the young and joyful and active....but at the same time he is a well-behaved pup who is not yappy or unnecessarily needy - he expresses himself with his wagging tail and excited kisses.

At this early point in Jackson's development, he loves it human or canine.. We want to nurture this positive vision of the world by matching Jackson to a family who expresses their devotion for him in many different ways. We'd like Jackson to be loved and petted and given the gift of socialization to make him the very best adult dog he's capable of being. We'd also like him to be with retirees who are absolutely dog-crazy or with an active family that will include this sweet and fun guy in their activities. Jackson is so portable that he can easily be a constant companion - he would love nothing more than leisurely walks, trips to the store (he's a great window-shopping friend) or even a place at a pet-friendly workplace. Jackson also loves being outside in the warm sunshine..therefore a long walk in the beautiful Colorado mountains would really speak to this little guy. Jackson is young enough that he is open to being introduced to virtually any situation...and if there is love and gentle guidance...he can succeed.

Jackson's new family needs to have the motivation and energy for an adult dog...he requires behavioral guidance, tons of love to give him a positive attitude about the world and a warm lap to welcome him at the end of a busy day.

Jackson is neutered, good with cats and dogs, and up-to-date on his vaccinations. Farfel's will be happy to cover the microchip cost for Jackson at our Denver vet immediately after his arrival in Colorado.

Jackson appears to be a lightly shedding guy and will require great nutrition and periodic grooming to keep his coat cottony-soft and matt-free.

Applications are currently being accepted and Meet and Greets are being set up for this wonderful guy. If interested in this sweet and very loyal companion, please fill out an application at and submit to or fax to 303-443-7730.

About Farfel's Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We own a pet boutique named Farfel's Farm on Pearl Street in Boulder, CO. We have had the good fortune to find our niche in the Boulder community and experience success. We felt it very important to "pay it forward" in gratitude for our good luck. We couldn't think of a better endeavor than to save dogs who were out of time in the southern states, yet had been identified with great temperaments. We dedicate our efforts to their good health and ultimate wonderful, permanent homes.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Pets are transported from the southern states approximately twice per month. Almost 100% of the time, the dogs are spoken for as a result of adoption applications that can be referenced under Adoption at We study the applications. If the app indicates there is a match, followed up by a home visit and reference checks, the process moves to the next step. The adopter is committing to a 2-week foster (of course the dog can be returned at any time prior), and can then choose to finalize the adoption.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adoptions start out as a 2-week mandatory foster period. During that time, Farfel's covers all vet issues if one of Farfel's rescue vets is used. We also serve as a support with trainers and behaviorists on board for questions. An Adoption Application and an Adoption Contract must be completed before any dog can begin their 2-week foster. Our average adoption fee runs about $395. This amount serves to cover vetting, spay/neuter, all vaccinations, heart worm testing, temperament testing and transport. Our dogs come from Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma and rural Colorado.
