Oreo's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Oreo's Story...
Hello! My name is Oreo because I'm black and white and sweet like the cookie. I'm an older guy so I don't bound around anymore. I have arthritis and am more comfortable with a slower pace. I also have cataracts so my vision isn't sharp like it used to be. That's all okay though! I'm a happy guy and have a lot of love to give! Do you like to watch tv and snuggle? Or maybe read a book while stroking the soft coat of your canine companion? Do you have kids, or kids who visit, who would enjoy a gentle doggy friend? Does your other animal need a buddy? Are you okay with short walks and low-key play? If any of these things describe your family, then I'm your dog!

Come out to Five Acres Animal Shelter and get to know me. I'd love to have a forever home and share my life with you! My adoption fee is only $95.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oreo, a St. Charles Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in St. Charles, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in St. Charles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Charles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Charles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Charles paves the way for another one to be saved.
