Lillie was found last winter abandoned in a bush. A few days later another cat we believe was her sibling was found in same area. She has the most beautiful green eyes and the sweetest personality. She adores attention and will come when she is called to rub all over your legs. New people are a special treat to her because that means that she gets extra pets! She and her sibling both tested positive for FIV antibody.  Cats with FIV or Feline Aids can live a long full life. It is Not contagious and Cannot be transferred to dogs or humans.  FIV positive cats that live indoors in a stress-free home- need annual vet visits like all other cats, and  can live many years without even reaching a chronic stage. For additional information on FIV the following websites are very informative: http://www.catster.com/lifestyle/cat-health-vet-study-fiv-positive-cats-living-together and  http://www.fivcatrescue.org/fiv-myths.html .  You can view some of our adoptable cats and kittens at the Commerce Petsmart on the west side of Haggerty just north of 14 Mile Rd. during store hours. If you are interested in adopting one or more of our lovable cats, please complete the online Adoption Application. If you have questions please email white.karen49@gmail.com or call or text 248-301-2344. Thank you for your interest in adopting a rescued cat.

About For The Love Of Cats Rescue And Adoption

About Our Rescue Group...

We branched off of another rescue group in Oct of 2015, in order to concentrate solely on cats & kittens. We are a 501c3 foster-based group of dedicated volunteers, and our mission is finding homes for abandoned, no longer wanted cats and kittens. If our cats are not at Petsmart, they are in foster care as we have no facility to house all of our precious felines. We also have a TNR program to prevent more unwanted kittens. We give medical help to injured cats and provide food to people who have cats but find it hard to buy food. Donations, grants, and adoption fees are our sole means of income for our group. Volunteers are always welcomed and needed.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our cats can be adopted at any time by arranging an appointment at a foster home or meeting at Petsmart, 385 Haggerty Road between 14 and 15 mile Roads, in Commerce Twp.
We have adoption events every Saturday at this Petsmart store from Noon to 4 pm. In addition to our cats who are temporarily housed in this location, we bring in just a few of our other cats. If you would like to see one of our cats you viewed online contact us via phone or email so we can make arrangements for you to meet them.

Our Adoption Process...

After we receive your application we should get back to you in 2 days at most.
You will fill out a preliminary "getting to know you" pre-adoption. We will interview you and possibly co-adopter, We will talk to your vet, make sure the address you give us is legitimate. When you are approved for adoption you will fill out a Final adoption Form. All of our cats who are adopted have a trial period and may be returned.
We ask $130.00 for kittens that are neutered/spayed and up-to-date on vaccines.
We ask $110 for most adults, they are also neutered/spayed up-to-date on vaccines.
We have a Senior cat for Seniors program, People over 65 can foster a cat with no fee, if personal medical issues come up the cat can be returned to us
