Facts about KOA

  • Breed: Pit Bull Terrier
  • Color: Unknown
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 10744814-A133396
`Koa` was surrendered by her previous owners because they were not able to find her a good home. They rescued her out of a `bad situation,` but she was never meant to be a permanent fixture in their house. They started training her, had her spayed and vaccinated, but when their daughter had to go to school, they had to bring Koa here.

Her previous owners found out, after several breakouts, that Koa is allergic to Chicken! So no chicken foods or treats. Luckily there are plenty of alternatives available.

Koa is about 1.5 years old, very active, and can use some training. But what she lacks in manners, she make up for in loyalty and affection. In her pervious house, she lived with other dogs, cats, and children. She is ready to go home with you! If you would like to meet Koa, please ask a member of our staff

Our Adoption Process...

How to Adopt:

Take your time getting to know the animal you wish to adopt. The pet you choose should be your pet for the rest of its life, so spend the time necessary to make the right choice. Our staff is happy to assist you in taking a dog out of the kennels or socializing with a cat in the cat room. We encourage each person in your household to get acquainted with an animal before it becomes a new member of your family. We also suggest you bring your present pets in for an introduction to the new animal to form some ideas about their compatibility. Our shelter is open Monday through Saturday, 11:00am - 5:30pm. In order to complete the adoption process, it is necessary to begin adoptions by 4:30pm.
