If you're looking for a knight in shining armor for love and adventure, I'm your man!

Allow me to introduce myself: I am called Gallahad, descendent of a knight in King Arthur's Round Table. I'm proud of my lineage, and I am at your service. As a knight, naturally I'm an active guy who is excited to sally forth and help you look for dragons or damsels in distress on our walks. We could even go on quests while hiking in the woods! I have a feeling I'd be really good at quests. After our adventures, we can rest with a pint of ale and a slice of mutton, or whatever tasty vittles you have around your castle. I can't wait to begin--our life together will be epic!

Lots of team members have weighed in on this wonderful guy! Here's what they say: "Gallahad is a happy dog who would do best with older kids because of his youthful energy. He's dog-friendly and has had several successful playgroups. He knows SIT and LAY DOWN, and he walks well on the leash. Most of all, he's very sweet and loves being with his humans. As a knight Gallahad likes to search for treasures, but he is the treasure!!"

About Animal Humane New Mexico

About Our Shelter...

Animal Humane is committed to being the leader in next-generation animal shelters. We have proactively developed a full range of programs and services dedicated to helping people connect with a lifelong companion and work with them to keep that relationship balanced and happy. That’s why we prefer terms such as campus, team and resident to differentiate ourselves from other facilities. No other shelter in New Mexico offers the extensive curriculum or goes to the lengths we do to make sure that our graduates are healthy and ready to thrive in their new forever homes. Facilitating lifelong animal + human bonds is why we’re here.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption Requirements/Recommendations
•All animals that leave the shelter must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. NO EXCEPTIONS.
•If you have dogs and are looking to adopt a dog we ask that you bring your dog in to do a meet’n’greet. (This does not apply to cats!)
•We also recommend that all people in the household (including children) come in to meet the animal before adoption.
•We do not adopt out animals as gifts to others. Gift certificates for the price of an adoption can be purchased at the front adoptions building.
•Adopting animals is a lot of responsibility, but it is also a wonderful experience. We want to ensure that you pick an animal that truly matches your lifestyle, so we do ask that you arrive by 5:30 in order to really get to know your new family member. We will be happy to continue any adoption paperwork the following day.
