Hey there! I'm George, a 3 year old happy-go-lucky pit bull mix. I ended up at the shelter when my family moved and I couldn't go with them. As you can imagine I was sad for a while but the staff here are pretty nice and made this feel as close to a home away from home as can be! As nice as it is, I can not wait to find my forever family! I like kids but I am full of energy and enthusiasm so I could easy knock over the little ones. I would mind a potential dog or cat sibling but again they should probably be on my energy level. Thanks for considering me, stop on in to see if we could be quick friends.

About Humane Animal Treatment Society

About Our Shelter...

The Humane Animal Treatment Society (HATS) is a
volunteer, community based organization that exists
to provide a valuable public service in emphasizing the
vital importance of spaying and neutering, and preventing
the suffering and death of countless unwanted animals.
Every adoption is one more step in breaking the chain of
unwanted litters of puppies and kittens from irresponsible,
uncontrolled breeding.

HATS spays or neuters 100% of the animals who are adopted from the shelter. Through adoption fees, the Humane Animal Treatment Society recoups only a fraction of the costs directly related to the treatment of animals while in our care.

Our organization relies on donations to fund these valuable programs and to continue care for our furry friends. The funds we receive help offset medical expenses and assist with the housing and care of shelter animals who are awaiting forever homes.

Our Adoption Process...

Every adoption is one more step in breaking the chain of
unwanted litters of puppies and kittens from irresponsible,
uncontrolled breeding.

Upon intake, every animal receives age appropriate
vaccines - including rabies, a microchip and license (dogs).
