Tabitha's Story...
Hi There! We are two beautiful four-month –old sisters who were rescued from the streets of Great Neck, New York by a lovely lady. She made sure we were healthy, fed and loved, but she cannot keep us. We do owe her our lives! We are incredibly sweet and cuddly. We have both been spayed and vaccinated and the doctor says we are very healthy. I, Tabitha, am part Russian Blue (we think!) and my sister Samantha is a Tuxedo cat—she is adorable! We are looking for a forever home that would take both of us as we love each other and don’t want to be separated. Our bags are packed and we are ready to go home with you and love you forever! Please contact Holly at hbernsmd@aol.com. Please include your name and contact information. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tabitha, a Great Neck Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Great Neck, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Great Neck.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Great Neck already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Great Neck breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Great Neck paves the way for another one to be saved.
