11/2/2016 Peter is an amazing guy! Sadly, his previous didn't value him enough to take him with them when they moved away. They left him behind in their fenced yard, with nothing more than a crawl space to go under the house during bad weather and a bucket of dirty water. Thankfully, neighbors intervened and contacted me, telling me of Peter's plight. I immediately went over and picked him up. I was surprised to find such a gentle, loving, sweet creature. Peter is the epitome of gentleness. He is calm and grateful for any small comfort. He was (I assume) an outdoor dog, and has been in a shelter environment while here, but he always keeps his kennel tidy and never potties in it. This is usually a pretty good indication that he is house trained. Peter is great with other dogs, but would prefer a home with other senior dogs or at least calm dogs. He never acts aggressively in any way, but he doesn't care for being out with the younger rambunctious dogs who try to get him to play. He really doesn't want to play, he just wants to relax and be comfy. Peter has so much love left to give and I just know there is someone out there who can offer him a comfortable and loving home to live out the rest of his days, no matter how long that may be. We believe Peter is about 10years old and he weighs about 65lbs. He has already been neutered but needs to have a couple of benign masses (lypomas) removed, as shown in the last picture. Peter is located in Arkansas but can be transported to the northeast once adopted. This sweet guy will give you so much love and will be so grateful to have a home that I know you won't regret taking a chance on him! For more info, email kelley.aasr@gmail.com
