Scrappy's Story...
Scrappy and his brother Snowball were just tiny little balls of fur found under some bushes by a kind neighbor that brought the boys to us at approximately 3 weeks old. After getting extra love and attention and being bottle fed by the staff, these playful kittens have grown to be a quite a great pair - they look out for each other while playing with the other cats and kittens. Scrappy is very active and outgoing. He is always looking for some play time with the volunteers - but is quite content to entertain himself with any cat toy or just a scrap of paper he can find (that's where his name came from!) . Both of these boys would make a great addition to any home, are easy going and very social.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scrappy, a Little River Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Little River, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Little River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Little River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Little River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Little River paves the way for another one to be saved.
