Flint is about 7 yrs old and 50# - we'd actually call him a medium/large dog - not strictly large..... He is a wonderful gentle friendly guy - fine with other big dogs and OK as your one and only hound, given adequate attention, exercise and companionship. He's had trouble finding a home because he will jump a fence if left unattended- however, he's easy to catch. He's a very, very nice dog. He's great with kids and walks well on a leash. Not recommended for a home with small dogs, but should be okay if just meeting them somewhere. He's been to a number of mobile adoption events and is always well mannered, never barking and always friendly to anyone who comes up to pet him.
He was adopted from here in April 2016. However, while at the family's home, a burglar broke in when everyone else was gone. Flint was greatly traumatized by the experience. He became terrified and destructive when he was left alone, so the family took him back to B&B.
Plott Hounds are among the lesser known hounds. They are a type of coonhound that was bred from German bloodhounds in North Carolina by Johannes Plott. Read up on the hounds if you're not already an addict - he's in Apple Valley and will show much better here if you can come visit him in his own setting. We have a lot of terrific hounds. Email us your application and suggest any day for a meet and greet. We'll set up an appointment, get to know you via email a bit more and have some freshly bathed and happy hounds to play with.
Looking forward to your visit! Check him out!!
