Recently, Brooklyn Animal Action rescuer Tara got a call about a lone kitten wandering the street, asking if she had room to take one kitten in. Tara said of course—only to discover that the kitten was only one of a litter of six being kept with their mama cat in a deli basement. The deli owner wanted the kittens gone, so had left the door to the basement open in the hopes that all the kittens would all wander off! Needless to say, Tara took all the babies and their mother in, since they deserved a far more loving life than the one they had in the basement.

One of those six kittens is sweet, petite Baby Bella—a purr machine with the loveliest little disposition. She lets you hold her and snuggle her, and when she’s not loving up her humans in her foster home, she’s playing with her feline foster-siblings.

Bella’s newest foster brother is Max, who can be timid…but he follows her lead everywhere, looking to her when it’s time to see what comes next, as she teaches him to come out and join the fun. Max was found in Bay Ridge, and has truly blossomed now that he’s met Baby Bella, who is truly his best friend.

Both babies are FeLV/FIV negative and up to date on vaccines. They will be spayed/neutered when they are old enough. If you’d like to meet Baby Bella and her buddy Max, contact Tara Green at catsbkny@gmail.com!

Thank you for thinking of animals in need - your support allows us to help the next furry sweetheart!

Our Adoption Process...

Interested adopters can visit our animals in their foster homes. If they would like to adopt one of our animals, they must fill out an adoption application. If that is approved, they then complete an adoption contract. We also ask for a donation to help us continue our work.
