Theo is a male Border Collie/German Shepherd mix approximately 10 months old. He has the most gorgeous, glossy coat of black and tan waves that you have ever seen. His coat is longer and silky soft. Theo currently weighs 56 pounds and may gain a bit more to reach an adult size of 65-70 pounds. Theo is young, very intelligent, and loves an active lifestyle. True to his breed, he can go for miles and loves to play hard with other big dogs his size or larger. He will thrive in a home where his quick, bright mind is challenged with equal amounts of gentle obedience and playtime. Theo loves people and is super affectionate. He is submissive with his humans and has a nice amount of respect for voice commands and direction. Theo tries hard to understand and is highly trainable. He would no doubt excel in dog agility or any canine sports. The sky is the limit with this young boy. Theo is innocent and a blank slate and can be shaped into just the kind of dog you want him to be. He would make a nice running companion or hiking buddy as well. He adores being together with his family and has a high degree of loyalty and devotion to people. He will thrive being included as a valued pet and companion. Theo learns and recognizes familiar faces very quickly. He rides quietly in the car and has good manners indoors. Theo was rescued from a very high-volume/high-kill shelter where he was brought in stray. He is super healthy and has his whole life ahead of him. Theo is ready for his new forever loving home today!

Theo’s adoption donation is $475 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). He has been NEUTERED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is his collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of his records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

THEO, a Newport Beach Border Collie/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Newport Beach, or seeking a Border Collie/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Newport Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Border Collie/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
