Calypso's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Calypso's Story...
Calypso was abandoned at a shelter after delivering 9 healthy puppies, due to the overcrowding at the shelter and the pups being so young they had no chance of getting out alive. Spark Rescue requested to have this family saved and brought them to Ojai to a foster family that was committed to caring for Calypso and her 9 pups. Its been two months and all but two pups and Calypso have found loving forever homes.
Calypso is an amazing dog, she gets along well with all dogs and loves kids too. Calypso plays soccer and enjoys going for long walks/runs. She has a perfect temperment and would make a great family dog. She is still a pup herself at 1 year and is learning her manners ( not to jump on people to greet them). She understands simple commands and is crate trained too.
Calypso has a beautiful shiny coat and expressive eyes she really wants to please. If you think Calypso would make a great addition to your household please fill out an adoption application on our website at www.sparkrescue.org thank you for choosing to adopt.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Calypso, a Santa Barbara Labrador Retriever/American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Santa Barbara, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Santa Barbara.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Barbara already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Barbara breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Barbara paves the way for another one to be saved.
