Jerry's Story...
Jerry was deserted at a high kill shelter covered in mats he was overlooked and slated for euthanasia. Spark Rescue picked him up, got him to the groomer and boy is he adorable! Jerry is quite a character and willl dance for food and walks. He is a happy go lucky pup that has a skip to his step. Jerry would do well in a home as a companion for someone who just wants to smother him with affection. Jerry is just amazing! Jerry is fine around kids but is not the type of dog that enjoys interacting with young children. If you would like to adopt Jerry please fill out an adoption application on our website www.sparkrescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jerry, a Santa Barbara Havanese/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Havanese/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Santa Barbara, or seeking a Havanese/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Santa Barbara.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Barbara already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Barbara breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Havanese/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Havanese/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Barbara paves the way for another one to be saved.
