Are you looking for a loving dog who will look you in the eyes and make your heart swell? Yogi was born to do just that!

Yogi is an eight-year-old Lab mix. He is extremely affectionate to the right person, generally preferring women to men, though he did learn to bond with his foster dad. However, he has some fear issues we are working on, and it would always be best for him to have slow introductions when meeting new people. Once he trusts you, he will be the most loyal dog and love you to the moon and back!

Because of his anxiety, Yogi must have a fenced yard. He would also prefer female dogs, if there are dogs in the home. Children should be older and dog-savvy.

Despite his quirkiness, we can attest to Yogi's sweet personality when given the right environment to thrive in! He is very focused on his human, wanting so badly to love and please this special person. When you come home, he is ever ready to greet you with a toy or a TV remote--no, he doesn't destroy them!

Please contact us if you would like to learn more about Yogi! We have a behavior modification plan worked out for his continued training and will provide post-adoption support.

Yogi is being fostered in the Twin Cities metro area, and his adoption fee is $290.

About Retrieve a Golden of Minnesota

About Our Rescue Group...

RAGOM has been rescuing pets since 1985! We are a 501(c)(3), all-volunteer organization.
RAGOM’s mission is to rescue and rehome unwanted, abused, neglected, and displaced Golden Retrievers and Golden Retriever mixes, and locate permanent homes for them. We advocate responsible pet ownership and support animal abuse and neglect prevention programs, as well as spay/neuter initiatives.
Rescued dogs receive comprehensive medical care including a complete veterinary exam, updated vaccinations, and a microchip, and each is spayed or neutered prior to adoption. While in RAGOM’s care, dogs live as part of a family in loving foster homes where they are fed, groomed, socialized, and begin to learn basic manners. Foster families provide ongoing temperament assessment for each dog to determine what qualities should be present in an ideal forever home, and then match the dog with an approved adoptive family.
Donations and new volunteers are always welcome!

Come Meet Our Pets...

RAGOM holds several adoption events each month. For more information about upcoming Meet and Greets, please visit our calendar at http://www.ragom.org/events/calendar.html .

Our Adoption Process...

RAGOM requires interested adopters to complete an application online or by mail (application fee is waived for those referred by adoptapet.com), and have a home visit (references, pictures, and/or a video visit may be used in place of a home visit for those applicants who live outside our standard territory). Adopters must sign a contract and pay the adoption fee by check or credit card at the time of adoption. Adoption fees are as follows: Puppy-4 years: $350; 5-8 years: $290, 9 years and over: $145. All dogs, including puppies, are altered before adoption.
RAGOM is an all-volunteer organization. We try to respond to all inquires within 48 hours!
