Hi, I'm DEUCE and I just love you already. I have just one request to start 2017 right: to be yours for life, of course! I could easily become one of your favorite boys EVER! I'm a big, energetic goof and I love people. By day I play fetch wishing I had a family of my own to throw me the ball, and by night I dream of thumping myself onto the bed for belly rubs and for you to tell me how much of a good boy I am! I'm the kind of guy who will stare into your soul and know precisely what makes you happy and what makes you sad. Being in the shelter setting has been, well, "ruff" on me, so I look forward to your comforting touch, your understanding of my need to decompress, and best of all, your welcoming home! While this charming chocolate-furred guy is a love, I do ask that you please spare me cats and smaller dogs. If you do have another large pooch at home, I request a meet-and-greet with them first! Oh, also, I'm hoping that you'll be happy to help me excel when it comes to working with and training me in the area of being away from you while you're gone from the house; I just miss my people so! Please inquire about meeting me, Deuce, a shining star! I'm so ready for my miracle! I qualify for foster-to-adopt, meaning that if you're a good fit, you can do a trial period in your home for a week before finalizing the adoption! My adoption fee of $100 includes my neuter surgery, deworming, microchip, up-to-date vaccinations, and my heartworm test. I've even started on my monthly flea and heartworm preventatives - what more could you ask for? If you'd like to meet me, please fill out an online application or call a counselor at (803) 465-9170.

About Pawmetto Lifeline

About Our Rescue Group...

Pawmetto Lifeline is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit animal rescue organization solving pet overpopulation in the Midlands. There are over 20,000 homeless pets in the Midlands and over 17,000 are euthanized each year. Our plan uniquely positions us to correct this problem through four distinct initiatives: Adoption, Medical, Rescue Collaboration, and Education efforts.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Pawmetto Lifeline is open for adoptions Monday-Friday from 12 noon-7 pm, Saturday from 10 am-7 pm and Sunday from 12 noon-5 pm. Some cats are also available for adoption daily at all Petsmart locations in the Columbia area. (Currently there are Petsmart locations in Harbison, Lexington and the Northeast on Two Notch Road.)

Our Adoption Process...

All prospective adopters are required to complete an application and go through a short interview process. Once approved the adoption fees are paid and the adopter is able to bring the pet home the same day.

Adoption fees for cats and kittens are $100 and include their spay or neuter, all vaccinations appropriate for their age and they are microchipped.

Adoption fees for dogs and puppies start at $150 and include their spay or neuter, all vaccinations appropriate for their age and they are microchipped.
