George, along with his brother Fred whom he needs to remain with, is a very inquisitive boy and loves to be around his people. The brothers/littermates have never been separated and need to stay as a pair in their new adoptive home. The boys need a quieter home without small children and with no dogs. Probably no other felines either. Sunbathing and birdwatching is a favorite pastime, and once in awhile they like to chase each other as they did as kittens, but at 4 yrs old that has slowed down quite a bit. They have always been strictly "indoor only" cats, but they do need to be watched near an open door as they will try to get some fresh air if you are not watching. Cuddling is their other favorite pastime, they sit and cuddle with their people every chance they get as soon as you sit down. These boys will make wonderful companions to any home who wants a friendly and social pair of felines to make their lives brighter.
We have created a non-profit animal shelter dedicated to eliminating cruelty, abuse and the overpopulation of animals. The Humane Society is committed to creating the awareness of animal rights throughout the Romeoville community by providing numerous animal welfare programs, including pet adoptions, humane education and cruelty investigations. ALL animals available for adoption are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, fecal tested, fiv/felv tested (cats only), heartworm tested (dogs only) and microchipped. It is the policy of the Romeoville Humane Society to spay or neuter all animals in its care in an effort to reduce the homeless pet population.
