Piggy's Story...
We think Miss Piggy is a Shar Pei/ Bull terrier mix and is about 4 years old. She was rescued from death row, so we don't know her history from before her time at the pound. We have found her to be protective of her people she gets attached to and gets nervous around new people. She was nervous with kids at first and would nip at the kids, but now she loves them and plays with them. Does fine with little male dogs because she lived with one for a little over a year while at the fosters. She doesnt do well with female dogs as we found out when the neighbors female dog came over for a visit. She is ok with cats now, but used to try and get the fosters cats but has since learned it's not ok. She just likes watches them now. She is fully potty trained and crate trained. Loves to chew on toys and play fetch. ❤

And most of all, LOVES to cuddle and be lazy with her people.
Miss piggy would do well in a quiet home by herself or with a small male dog. She needs an experienced owner who will be patient with her and help her get over her fears of meeting new people and dogs. Please consider adopting MISS PIGGY!!!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Piggy, a Covington Shar Pei/Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei/Bull Terrier for sale in Covington, or seeking a Shar Pei/Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Covington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Covington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Covington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei/Bull Terrier breeders who help with Shar Pei/Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Covington paves the way for another one to be saved.
