Cookie's Story...

Meet Cookie!  He is a 7 years young Shih Tzu that is looking for his forever family.  He is simply sweet as sugar and eager to please.  He is sight impaired but don't let that scare you as it doesn't stop him.  Once he figures out the lay of the house he owns it!  He loves to play with toys and gets along great with other dogs, kids and strangers.  He is really such a nice fellow that we can't imagine how anyone could have given him up to a shelter.  Their loss was our gain and hopefully he will soon be spoiled by a new forever family that will never let him down again.  Come meet Cookie and you will see all that you have been missing in your life!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cookie, a Ridgefield Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Ridgefield, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Ridgefield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ridgefield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ridgefield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ridgefield paves the way for another one to be saved.
