Do you like riddles? I like riddles! So here is a riddle for you.

What do you get when you cross a genius, a super model, and a joker!? Not sure yet?
How about this BAZINGA!

Did you get it???

It’s me Sheldon!

Well I guess I should introduce myself, my name is Sheldon and my mom says I am the smartest most handsome boy around!  My story goes a little like this.  I was living at this place where they kept me outside all the time, I was just in this little chain pen, ugh, and it was no fun.  Then this person came and took me from my house and put me in this really loud, scary place.  I think they call it a shelter but I am not so sure, whatever it was called, I hated it there.  Definitely not a place for a genius like myself! Well don’t ya know that just in time, literally, this nice lady came and freed me!! I was so happy, I jumped and wiggled all the way out of there!

Well since getting out of that place, my world has been turned upside down and absolutely for the better!  I am in this new home with my foster mom and all my foster brothers and sisters, and even better, I get to live inside!!!!! I think that is the best part! My foster mom says that I am the smartest, most handsome man around.  I am showing my mom all of the sweet, kick butt skills I know, she just keeps saying how smart I am.  I know sit, down, stay, I walk nicely on a loose leash, I sit whenever my mom stops walking when I am on leash.  See, super smart!  I am also really good at letting my mom know when I need to go outside, I am also good in my crate! I am just a regular old smarty pants!

My ideal home would be with someone who likes to go for walks, runs, or hikes.  Ya see I am a boy who needs his exercise.  Don’t get me wrong I am all for a nap and TV session, but I like to be busy too! I wouldn’t mind having a doggy brother or sister to play with but I am cool having my new family all to myself too.  In my foster home I also live with cats, do you have a cat? Have you ever seen a cat? Well I think they are scary, so I keep my distance from them! I would do best in a home with kids who are a little older.  See, I get so excited when I see new people that I can get a little mouthy, mom says that is my one down fall.  I guess no one is perfect! But I am working hard on greeting people politely with just a sit or a down, I am getting the hang of it!

So if you think that you are my perfect match, please send in an application.  It will then get forwarded to my mom and I and we can review it together.  Then we can set up a time for you to meet me!

Now a word from my mom-Sheldon is 2 years old, weighs 40 pounds, he is neutered, up to date on vaccines, flea/tick and heartworm prevention, and microchipped.

Sheldon is being fostered in Bloomfield NY

About Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association

About Our Rescue Group...

We are an all volunteer group that rescues Australian Cattle Dogs. Our dogs reside in foster homes until they are adopted
Every year, thousands of Australian Cattle Dogs find themselves homeless through no fault of their own. Although the reasons are diverse, the result is the same. Healthy, adoptable dogs face euthanasia in shelters.

The Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association rescues ACDs in shelters from Maine to Georgia and gives these dogs a fresh start with a loving family. Our foster home volunteers welcome the dogs into their homes where they live as members of the family. During the time in foster care, our volunteers determine what kind of forever home will be the right one for each dog.

Come Meet Our Pets...
