Facts about Simon

  • Color: White - With Tan, Yellow Or Fawn
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
Little Simon’s parent couldn’t keep him anymore since she had to be away 12-16 hours for work leaving Simon by himself. So we are looking for a new home and loving family for this sweet little 12 pound pup. He was very much loved, had great care, and has had the same owner since he was a tiny puppy—he came from a family friend and was one of a litter of 4 puppies.

Simon is half Cairn Terrier and half Pomeranian. He is about 4 1/2 years old, neutered, vaccinated, and house trained. Simon gets along well with other dogs, and is a very happy, very friendly tail-wagging dog who loves to play any time. He loves to go for long walks. He always finds something to amuse himself with, like chasing birds, squirrels, or trying to catch a fly on summer days. He enjoys playing or sunbathing in the backyard, but wants to make sure that people he loves are close by. He loves and is very social with other dogs. He hasn’t been around cats, so we do not know how he will react.

His favorite things are to play fetch (he doesn’t easily give up the toy and wants you to chase him) or to snuggle up right next to you on the couch, especially when it gets chilly and you throw a blanket on. He sleeps on his favorite dog bed with his little blanket in the bedroom, and wakes up early in the morning to great you with kisses.

About The Nature Network, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

The Nature Network, Inc., is a non profit 501c3 federal tax exempt organization, publicly supported and existing entirely with the generous help of animal loving people. We rescue dogs, cats, horses, other domestic pets, birds, and wildlife, some on their last day of life from Los Angeles area pounds, and we work with local wildlife rescue organizations to save wildlife and birds (injured or orphaned). We love animals very much, and feel there can never be enough help for all animals in need, or enough loving homes or enough birth control for the domestic ones.

We are currently seeking grants, donors and sponsors to purchase the animal sanctuary and education center we have found for the Nature Network in the Valley area of Los Angeles.

We are preparing to again produce and host a previously award winning television show about the rescue and protection of domestic and wild animals and preservation of natural habitats.

More information to come soon. Our website, www.thenaturenetwork.org is currently under re-design, and will be up and active soon.

Donate to Our Rescue Group...

Please become a sponsor for one of our special needs animals--dogs, cats, horses, and more, or please help support The Nature Network's rescue work with a tax deductible contribution. We will gladly and promptly provide you with a Nature Network Donation Receipt for your tax deductible donation, upon request. Our Paypal donation address is: theanimalsleftbehind@socal.rr.com In your Paypal Account, click on "personal", and then on "gift" to avoid fees.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our adoptable pets are boarded at kennels, veterinarians, foster homes and our friends' and family's homes. We sometimes also take part in Best Friends and Animal Planet adoption events. We recommend calling us to discuss your adoption needs. If it sounds like you would be happy and the pet would be happy, we can arrange for everyone to meet.
See our organization's info about our plans to purchase our dream animal sanctuary and humane education center---but not without your help.

Our Adoption Process...

After speaking by telephone, and coming to see our pet (if qualified), we will visit your home. If qualified, we bring our pet for a two week trial period with an application and contract. The adoption donation for dogs is $200-$350, and a $50-$150 adoption donation for cats and other small pets.
