Facts about Simon

  • Breed: Corgi/Papillon Mix
  • Color: White - With Tan, Yellow Or Fawn
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
We are looking for a new loving home for this sweet little pup. Simon was abandoned by his owner so he is terribly shy (although enthusiastic and friendly) and it will take a little time and patience for him to trust again. If you are looking for a pup who is instantly crazy about you without getting to know you first, Simon is not the little guy for you.

Simon is a Corgi and Papillion cross. Right now he has a few extra pounds and is approximately 16-17 pounds, but his normal weight would be around 13-14 pounds. Simon is 4 1/2 years old, healthy, neutered, vaccinated, and is perfectly house trained. Simon gets along well with other dogs, and is a very happy, tail-wagging dog who loves to play. He loves going for walks on the leash

Simon loves and is very social with other dogs, but at first of course he is careful and shy. He hasn't been around cats, so we do not know for sure how he will react but he is not an aggressive dog. His favorite things are to play fetch and run after toys and bring them back to you, and to snuggle on the couch, especially when it gets chilly and you throw a blanket on. He sleeps on his favorite dog bed with his little blanket in the bedroom, and wakes up early in the morning to greet you with kisses.

About The Nature Network, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

The Nature Network, Inc., is a non profit 501c3 federal tax exempt organization, publicly supported and existing entirely with the generous help of animal loving people. We rescue dogs, cats, horses, other domestic pets, birds, and wildlife, some on their last day of life from Los Angeles area pounds, and we work with local wildlife rescue organizations to save wildlife and birds (injured or orphaned). We love animals very much, and feel there can never be enough help for all animals in need, or enough loving homes or enough birth control for the domestic ones.

We are currently seeking grants, donors and sponsors to purchase the animal sanctuary and education center we have found for the Nature Network in the Valley area of Los Angeles.

We are preparing to again produce and host a previously award winning television show about the rescue and protection of domestic and wild animals and preservation of natural habitats.

More information to come soon. Our website, is currently under re-design, and will be up and active soon.

Donate to Our Rescue Group...

Please become a sponsor for one of our special needs animals--dogs, cats, horses, and more, or please help support The Nature Network's rescue work with a tax deductible contribution. We will gladly and promptly provide you with a Nature Network Donation Receipt for your tax deductible donation, upon request. Our Paypal donation address is: In your Paypal Account, click on "personal", and then on "gift" to avoid fees.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our adoptable pets are boarded at kennels, veterinarians, foster homes and our friends' and family's homes. We sometimes also take part in Best Friends and Animal Planet adoption events. We recommend calling us to discuss your adoption needs. If it sounds like you would be happy and the pet would be happy, we can arrange for everyone to meet.
See our organization's info about our plans to purchase our dream animal sanctuary and humane education center---but not without your help.

Our Adoption Process...

After speaking by telephone, and coming to see our pet (if qualified), we will visit your home. If qualified, we bring our pet for a two week trial period with an application and contract. The adoption donation for dogs is $200-$350, and a $50-$150 adoption donation for cats and other small pets.
