Kashew is house trained, crate trained and even puppy pad trained. He is extremely shy and needs someone that will understand the time he'll need to adjust to a new environment. Once he is comfortable inside the home, his name rings true! He is a complete nut...in a good way! Typical active puppy. He doesn't have any bad habits as far as chewing and doesn't have a problem settling down when the other dogs don't want to play. He's learning basic commands although his default move is to lay down because of his shyness. He finds his confidence in other dogs, mostly larger male dogs that he can look up to, so he would do best with another playful companion dog. He is good with all dogs and cats. He even ignored a squirrel that he came face-to-face with. He would do best in a home without young children.

The Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter adoption fee is $67. The adoption fee includes vaccinations, mandatory spay/neuter, heartworm test, and microchip.
