JENKINS is a befuddled old curmudgeon who deserves a living retirment home. He was dumped by his family at a high volume city shelter where we found him. Whatever the reason they abandoned him, we are sure his life is looking up. Jenkins appears to have been an outside dog and on nice nights we find him sleeping outside (he has indoor/outdoor access through a doggy door at our adoption center). Jenkins is stone deaf and his vision may not be so great either - either his depth perception is off or his vision not what it used to be as he has trouble focusing on treats and will snap in the air until he finds one. Jenkins would love a home where he can have a soft warm place to rest his rump - he does have some arthritis - possibly in the spine as well as hips and joints - currently on Dasuquin as a joint supplement. Jenkins is still quite active and would enjoy a farmer the or someplace he can explore with you. He does enjoy his walks as well. Jenkins has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested negative for heartworms. Apply at www.companimals.org if you can offer Jenkins the love, patience and financial security needed to care for an aging gent. Adoption fee $100.

About CompAnimals Pet Rescue, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

CompAnimals Pet Rescue is a small not-for-profit "no kill" rescue. Our mission is to take in unwanted, abandoned or abused dogs, cats and other small pets; to place those we can in loving, permanent homes; and to provide a sanctuary for the animals whose age, health issues or temperament precludes them from adoption. Our dogs & cats are neutered, vaccinated and receive all necessary medical treatment beford being made available for adoption. Through our volunteers and outreach programs we educate the next generation about the importance of spay/neuter and giving a lifelong home to their pets. We hope to one day put ourselves out of business but until then we will continue to rescue regardless of breed, age or medical condition.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our shelter has visiting hours - Wed through Sat from noon 'til 5 p.m. You're welcome anytime we're open.
Most our our dogs live in foster homes, and will likely not be at the shelter unless arrangements are made ahead of time.
We do hold monthly "Meet and Greets" at local pet stores, but here, as well, to meet a specific dog arrangements should be made in advance so that
your potential new best friend can be there waiting to meet you.

Our Adoption Process...

Please visit www.CompAnimal.org for more information about the adoption process and our fees. Our application is online, and relatively quick and painless to fill out.
We are a small all volunteer organization. Your e-mail wiil typically receive a quicker response than your phone call.
