  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)

Up for adoption in Texas and New England: Buster

Buster is a sweet, smart and energetic boy! He is very tall and handsome with beautiful eyes. He loves to play and would do best with someone that will take him out on daily walks or runs so he can use some of his energy up. Or even a home where they can have ‘jobs’ for him to do so he can use some of his energy while thinking through problems. His new family should be familiar with training and owning large dogs with a stubborn streak. He’s extremely smart and would do well with a lot of activity or putting his mind to use! He gets along well with other dogs.

Here's some stats for you about Buster:

Age: Estimated 4 years (acts/looks more like a puppy though)

Weight: about 75 pounds currently, but could put on another 10 pounds or so.

likes/dislikes: Loves playing fetch, walks/jogs, and pretending to be a lap dog while he cuddles

Housebroken? Yes

Likes Kids? Seems to do well with his foster's kids, the youngest child is 9 years old

Cats? Unknown

He is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Apply for this gorgeous big lug at www.luckylabrescue.com

About Lucky Lab Rescue and Adoption - TX Austin

About Our Rescue Group...

Lucky Lab Rescue and Adoption is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) approved rescue organization whose mission is to reduce the euthanasia rates and inhumane treatment of Labrador Retrievers and lab mixes and find them loving forever homes.

Most labs that come into Lucky Lab Rescue are from municipal and county shelters in Texas. Most are at risk of euthanasia, usually due to overcrowded conditions, great dogs, who ended up in a bad spot.

Labs are one of the most popular breeds of dogs due to their loyal and family oriented personalities. Labs are also one of the most overbred breeds and are the number one breed to be found in shelters. They also have one of the highest euthanasia rates. Some find it difficult that rescues can be breed specific, however, Lucky Lab Rescue and other lab rescues make a huge impact on euthanasia rates just by rescuing labs and lab mixes alone.
