We are helping Ozzy find a new home.

Ozzy is a black and tan male GSD, about 7 years old. He is mixed with another large breed. His owner can no longer keep him because she has had some domestic problems, is divorcing, and must move to an apartment where large dogs are not allowed. She can keep him temporarily.

Ozzy is lovable, friendly and lazy, according to his owner. He likes cuddling and taking naps.

Ozzy does get along with other dogs, but has not lived with cats. He could also do well as an only dog. He is friendly to people, and would be fine in a home with children over 10.

Ozzy is healthy and up to date with vet care. He is neutered. His owner can provide vet records.

Ozzy is used to living in a home where someone is gone during the day but is home nights and weekends. He needs a moderately active home where he can get regular exercise. He likes to play ball and go on walks. He is housebroken, crate trained, and can walk on a leash.

If you'd like to meet Ozzy, please contact her owner directly at fultzleslie@ymail.com. Please mention that you are preapproved with GSDRGA

GSDRGA has not met Ozzy, he is not our foster dog. We are guest listing him. Please contact his owner to ask questions, or set up a meeting.

About German Shepherd Rescue of GA

About Our Rescue Group...

German Shepherd Dog Rescue Group of GA (GSDRGA) was formed in 2004. We are a GA licensed rescue group and a 501 (3) (C) organization.

We are a volunteer based group who banded together based on love for this noble breed. GSDRGA developed to fill the need for a rescue network to cover shelters in the Atlanta metro area and immediate counties.

GSDRGA helps potential adopters find the right German shepherd dog for their family and lifestyle.

We are always looking for volunteerds especiually foster homes, that is our biggest need.

Our Adoption Process...

GSDRGA wants every German Shepherd Dog we rescue to become a beloved member of their adopted family, living happy and healthy for the remainder of their lifetime.

Anyone requesting to adopt a dog must complete an adoption application prior to consideration and agree to a binding adoption agreement at the time of adoption.

If you are in the southeast region and are interested in adopting a dog, you must travel to Atlanta to meet the dog prior to adoption. Only in certain circumstances will we consider an applicant more than 4-6 hours driving distance from Atlanta.

All adoption applicants are evaluated based on information they provide, while considering the personality, temperament and requirements of the dog they are requesting to adopt. All adoption applicants must agree to a home evaluation visit done by a GSDRGA representative prior to adopting any dog.

GSDRGA requests a standard adoption donation of $250 for each dog. This is donation is used to defer the costs of veterinary care, food and supplies needed to care for our rescued dogs.
