Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Stuart is one unique fellow. He is one of the 5 pups dumped at the Wilcox shelter with very little socialization. He is slowly coming out of his shell, but still needs quite a bit of confidence. He tends to be more afraid of men, but is very shy with new people. However, if you allow him to just sit and observe his environment, his curiosity usually gets the best of him. It takes awhile to be able to initiate contact with Stuart (petting), but the more time you spend with him, the more he seeks it. Its just on his terms right now. He is great with all dogs and even cats. With his vaccinations complete, we have started more formal leash training outdoors. He is doing fairly well, but still panics on occasion. Stuart is very easy to train. He is extremely food motivated, so teaching him cues such as "touch", "sit", "down" were very easy. He does need a confident canine companion, and I do not recommend young children. Their quick movements and unpredictability can cause him stress. Stuart is crate trained and housebroken. He still does have puppy tendencies, so you must watch what he gets into :)
