Brown Tabby

Hi my name is Jenny. I’m a gorgeous brown tabby with golden eyes. I’m a calm kitten, too. My favorite thing is to be on the top shelf of the highest cat tree gazing outside at the birds and squirrels. I can spend all day doing that except when I’m playing with my brother Parker. He’s more outgoing than me – and usually leaves me alone and goes off to play with the other cats.

It’s taken me time to feel comfortable with my foster mom, but now I can be held and petted. I particularly like to jump on her bed in the mornings, purring real loud for pets and kisses. I like to be picked up and carried around, too. My only thing is that I still get a little scared if there is fast movement or if my foster mom walks too fast in my direction. I will run and hide for a few minutes but come right back out. Those times are getting fewer because I’m getting very brave and trusting.

Parker and I were born outside in an industrial park. We were rescued and brought into foster care. I had a wound on my neck that had to heal before I was ready for adoption. I’m good as new now, fully vetted, and ready to find my forever home. I would love to find a home with cat savvy people who have other cats. That would be my ideal and better yet, it would be great to be adopted with my brother Parker, but that is not necessary if you only want me.

About Stray Cat Blues

About Our Rescue Group...

Officially, Stray Cat Blues, Inc. is a no-kill, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization providing rescue and placement to stray, abandoned, and feral cats. Personally, SCB is a small group of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to find loving, life-long homes for cats. We are professional in our practices, but we are emotional on the subject of homeless cats, and the ways in which we humans can work to prevent this epidemic of strays.

Stray Cat Blues actively works to find permanent homes for the stray cats in our program. Our kittens and cats are exposed to the pet-loving public at our different adoption locations (see Come Meet our Pets section below) to facilitate adoptions and to provide visibility for our organization. Our cats can also be seen online at

Most of our cats offered for adoption are strays and their offspring that are rescued off the streets.

For those stray cats that are more wary of humans, especially feral cats, we can help humanely trap, sterilize and either return them if the area they live in is safe and they are being fed, or we house them and adopt them out as barn cats.

Our Adoption Process...

We require an application with vet references or a home visit. All the animals are screened for feline leukemia and FIV, inoculated, sterilized and wormed when they first come to us. Healthy, adoptable cats and kittens are then housed through our network of foster homes. Our adoption fee is only $95. (Fee can be paid by cash or check at our Petsmart North Wales/Montgomeryville location. At our Collegeville location, the fee can be paid by cash, check, or credit card.)

If you are interested in adopting a cat, you can find our online adoption application at our website - On the side of the page there is a section labeled Quick Adoption Links. Click on the link for application to adopt a House Cat. Click on this link, fill out this short form, and be sure to click Submit at the bottom. One of our Adoption Reps will then contact you within a couple of days to guide you through the adoption process.

Alternately you can complete a paper application at Petsmart when we have SCB volunteers present (see times for adoption showings). Questions - email us at: We are happy to answer general questions, and also put you in touch with the foster families for questions about specific cats.
