Starr's Story...
Purebred, trained hunting dog

We are looking for a foster or someone interested in adopting Starr. Starr is a playful four year old spayed female Black Labrador Retriever. She loves to fetch balls and she is also a wonderful hunting girl. She is a purebred pointing lab and has been professionally trained to hunt. She is crate trained and knows her basic commands. Starr is high energy and loves to go on long walks and runs. She is wonderful with children and loves to give kisses. Starr is a small lab and is often mistaken for a puppy. She thinks she is a lap dog and while sitting on the floor she will likely try to come and sit in your lap. Her vaccinations are up to date. She is currently being treated for a tendon injury and will not be released for adoption until the injury is completely healed. This sweet girl will do well in a home that can provide her lots of exercise and love as Starr is a very high energy dog. She will need a home with a fenced in back yard. She is not a fan of cats but gets along well with other dogs. For more information about Starr call  303-973-3079  or fill out an application at:  https://goo.gl/forms/GgurRFfLtkQSq4TH2

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Starr, a Denver Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Denver, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
