Facts about Queenie

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Brown Or Chocolate
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 10754295
  • Hair: Short

Queenie, 3 years, is a beautiful lady with thick short brown tiger fur.  She was dumped at a local farm stand and ended up wandering into a shelter volunteer's backyard nearby.  She was so frightened that it took her several weeks to become desperate enough to allow herself to be caught.  After being in the volunteer's home for a few days, Queenie became extremely affectionate, seeking attention and chin rubs.  Queenie is a big cat.  She has all her vet work complete, is spayed, vaccinated, is leukemia negative and has a microchip.  She likes the dogs in her foster home, but not the two resident cats.  She definitely needs to be the one and only "Queenie" cat.  The adoption fee is $150.  All cats are placed as inside only pets. For more information on Queenie, contact her foster mom at kforeman@neads.org .

About NEADY Cats

About Our Shelter...

NEADY Cats is a small nonprofit, no kill, all volunteer cat shelter located on the National Training Campus of NEADS in Princeton, MA. The shelter was started in 1987 as an innovative way to make the NEADS dogs in training (guide dogs) be friendly to cats. To date we have placed almost 3,000 cats in loving homes.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All adoptions are by appointment only. We are located on Route 140 in Princeton, MA.

Our Adoption Process...

Adult cats are $150 and have all their veterinary care done - distemper shots, rabies shot, wormed, spay/neutered, and leukemia tested negative. All kittens are $150 and come with a pre-paid spay/neuter certificate. An adoption contract must be signed at the time of the adoption. We require the name of the new owners veterinarian, a note or copy of the lease if the new owner lives in a rental, and all cats are adopted out as inside only pets.
