RASCAL is a gray/white tabby DSH, male, born 9/5/12. He has the biggest green eyes...all the better to see you with! Having come from Animal Control, little is known about his past but we do know he loves his playtime and has a lot of fun with his buddy, Gordon #5; they are a dynamic duo. While Rascal may initially be hesitant and currently doesn’t appreciate being held, he does seek out affection, petting and is sure to really open up in a forever home!

The standard adoption fee is $80, but it may vary depending on the situation and the animal. This includes vetting such as shots, spaying or neutering, micro-chipping, de-worming, and feline testing.

You may complete an application to start the adoption process at www.stanlycountyhumanesociety.org, under the 'Adoption' tab.

About Stanly County Humane Society, Inc

About Our Rescue Group...

Stanly County Humane Society, Inc. is a non-profit corporation recognized by the IRS as 501(c)3. All contributions are tax deductible. Our mailing address is PO Box 1632 Albemarle, NC 28001. We feature a large variety of both pure and mixed breed dogs and cats. Our pets are fostered in a climate so that we know them well and can place them in the kind of home they need. We start our dogs on basic obedience training including walking on a leash, housebreaking, crate-training and socialization. Our goal is for both the pet and the adoptive family to be very happy with each other.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We recently opened an Adoption Center in Albemarle which serves as a location for record keeping and to kennel a limited number of cats. The Adoption Center is located at 650 Hwy 24/27 Bypass East. Pets are brought to this location for viewing on alternate Saturdays for our Adopt-A-Thons. Pets may also be met by appointment with the foster family.

Our Adoption Process...

An adoption donation is usually between $75 and $200 for our little lovelies. This includes all basic vet work such as immunizations, altering, and heartworm and leukemia tests. We reserve the right to be very picky with our pets as some of them are very small and sometimes fragile. We usually do not place small dogs or kittens in a home with children under the age of 5, however, we do take the individual circumstances and the individual pet into consideration. An Adoption Application must be completed and if approved, an Adoption Contract is required for final approval to adopt.
